Sahan, also known as Naga Morsarang, is a traditional medicine container used by the Toba Batak people of North Sumatra. Originally made from water buffalo horn, it’s also often cast in brass or other metals. This container features intricate designs, including the head of a mythical creature called a “singa,” with riders along its head, one figure on its protruding tongue, and another on its tail.
