Rudy Mardjianto is a painter from Blora, Central Java. From a young age, he developed a deep love for painting and aspired to make it his lifelong pursuit. During his studies, he faced a defining moment where he had to be honest about his artistic path: surrealism or realism. He chose to stay true to himself and began developing a personal visual identity. His signature style focuses on uniquely Javanese features, especially expressive faces with protruding lips, referred to in Indonesian as monyong.
