Anila is a powerful monkey warrior who was born from Batara Guru’s curse on Batara Narada, Anila’s short and stocky form resembles Narada himself. Despite his appearance, he embodies bravery, cleverness, and agility. Appointed chief minister of Gowa Kiskenda by Prabu Sugriwa, Anila became a fearless commander in the war of Alengka. In a famous episode, he killed Resi Prahasta by striking him with a stone monument that transformed into Dewi Indradi, mother of Anjani, Subali, and Sugriwa. The figure’s dynamic form recalls his quick, resourceful nature as a protector and hero in the epic.
