Gorga Singa wooden container was traditionally used by the Batak people to store medicine or valuable items. The Gorga Singa features a lion figure symbolizing authority and charisma, though its face is human-like with a protruding tongue. Often accompanying it is the Gorga Boraspati, a lizard motif representing wisdom and prosperity. When positioned facing each other, these two carvings reflect a balance of power and knowledge, values held in high regard in Batak cultural beliefs.
