Prince Ancestor Wooden Hanger (S)

The wooden carving in the middle represents the ancestor. Ancestors play a significant influence on the people of Flores. Not only are religious ceremonies used to show respect for ancestors, but a picture in wood carvings and weaving are also made to remind people of the ancestors who have impacted their lives and served as role models. Carving on the sides represent the weaving design all across eastern Indonesia.
