Square Quail’s Trap

Quails play a significant role in Lombok culture, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune. Their presence is believed to bring blessings to households. This cultural importance extends to traditional games, such as quail fighting, where trained quails are pitted against each other in community gatherings. Consequently, various antique quail traps can be found in Lombok. These traps typically have two parts: one side remains closed to house a female quail to attract a male quail, while the other side is left open to trap the male.
