Ancestor Face Wooden Hanger (S)

The wooden carving in the middle represent the ancsetor. Ancestor play a significant influence for the people of Flores. Not only are religious ceremonies used to show respect for ancestors, but a picture in wood carvings and weaving are also made to remind people of the ancestors who have impacted their lives and served as role models. Middle carving represent the weaving design all across eastern Indonesia.
