This sculpture depicts a Balinese farmer feeding his rooster corn while holding a guwungan, a traditional bamboo chicken cage. Commonly found in Balinese villages, guwungan are used not only to confine fighting cocks but also serve ritual purposes in ceremonies. Made from intricately woven bamboo, these cages reflect both the practical and spiritual roles of roosters in Balinese daily and religious life.
