Balinese Krishna Figure

Krishna, a revered incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu, portrayed holding a conch shell in one hand, a symbol of divine sound and victory, and forming the karana mudra gesture with the other. The karana mudra, a symbolic hand gesture used in Hindu and Buddhist iconography, is believed to dispel negativity and remove obstacles. Combining these elements, the figure conveys Krishna’s divine role as both a protector and a spiritual guide, embodying strength, purification, and the power to overcome evil.
