Lurik Weaving is one of the oldest weaving motifs. A simple motif in the form of lines that look like fence serve as protection for the wearer. Lurik has existed since the Majapahit era. When this kingdom collapsed in the east of Java in 16th century, they fled to the island of Bali. As a result, Lurik can be found in the regions of Java and Bali since they came from the same root.
