Balinese Wayang Performance

This oil painting depicts the atmosphere behind a traditional Balinese Wayang performance. Set in a dimly lit room, the warm tones of the painting evoke the golden glow of oil lamps, casting light on the dalang (puppet master) and his accompanying gamelan musicians. At the center, the dalang skillfully manipulates a puppet, his concentration mirrored by the attentive faces of the performers and spectators surrounding him.
