Boraspati ni Tano wooden treasure box from Batak culture. The Boraspati ni Tano motif is carved on the body of the box, symbolizing the god of the earth, associated with fertility, prosperity, and protection. On the left and right sides are gorga Singa, stylized lion head carvings that serve as protectors. In ancient Batak tradition, these singa motifs are believed to guard the home from unwanted forces. The lid is carved in the shape of an ancestral figure, reflecting the Batak belief in honoring and invoking ancestral presence for protection. Used to store precious or ritual objects, this box serves as a symbolic vessel connecting the physical and spiritual realms.
