Dayak Wooden Baby Carrier

The Dayak baby carrier is called Bening. It’s used to carry baby from the ages of six months up to one year. We might see the Dayak stone beads carrier more frequently than the wooden carving one because it was the earlier type. This type of carrier has been around for at least 70 years. It was made from Borneo hard wood such as ironwood with a woven rattan strap.
