Decorative Jinghu

Jinghu is a traditional Chinese two-stringed fiddle, often called the “Peking opera fiddle” for its key role in Peking Opera. With a bamboo body covered by a thin snakeskin-like membrane, it can produces a distinct high-pitched sound from its silk or metal strings. Its short, fretless bamboo neck allows rapid finger movements and expressive pitch changes. The horsehair bow is fixed between the strings, enabling smooth and fluid play.
