Decorative Talawang (M)

Talawang serves as a shield used for defense against enemy attacks in Dayak tribe. Crafted from ulin wood for its lightweight and durable qualities, small-sized talawang is commonly utilized for decoration or traditional dances. Wild boar tusks and beads, used as decorations, also believed to serve a protective role.
