Garuda Wayang Rono

Rp11.250.000

The Javanese room partition, known as Rono, is a beautifully crafted piece rich with symbolic meaning through its intricate carvings and paintings. At the center top, you’ll find the carving of Garuda, the emblem of Indonesia, representing strength and freedom. Just below it, a mirror is inscribed with the Javanese word, Berdikari, meaning to be an independent individual. The top sides feature a pair of Javanese dragons, known as Antaboga, symbolizing guardianship, healing, and fertility. The bottom section of the Rono displays three distinct Wayang stories: on the left, the tale of Banowati and Sembodro; in the middle, the story of Loroireng and Noyorono; and on the right, the narrative of Loroireng and Abimanyu. Each element of the Rono holds deep cultural and spiritual significance, making it not just a room divider, but a storytelling piece and a cultural artifact.
