Green Flower Javanese Peti

Javanese boxes, called “Peti,” were traditionally used to store rice, heirloom textiles, and wedding attire. Made from durable teak wood, these boxes are celebrated for their intricate paintings and detailed carvings. One notable design is the Sluluran motif, which features a vine pattern symbolizing prosperity and growth. This motif is often combined with red flower carvings resembling Zinnia, a plant known for its ability to thrive in various environments, representing endurance in life. Together, these carvings embody the values of resilience and continuous flourishing.
