Green Vines Javanese Peti

Javanese boxes, called “Peti,” were traditionally used to store rice, heirloom textiles, and wedding attire. Made from durable teak wood, these boxes are celebrated for their intricate paintings and detailed carvings. Among the carvings, the Sluluran motif, which depicts vines, is particularly significant. This pattern symbolizes prosperity and growth, reflecting the cultural values associated with abundance and the continuous flourishing of life.
