Gringsing Weaving – Ceremony

Rp2.000.000

Gringsing Weaving comes from Tenganan, Bali. The word gringsing consists of the words gring which means sick and sing which means no. Hence, it refers to a magical cloth that keeps the wearer from harm. Red, yellow, and black–collectively known as Tridatu–are the only hues present in every single piece of Gringsing. It represents Brahma, the god of creation, in red; Vishnu, the god of preservation, in white; and Shiva, the god of destruction, in black.
