Jathilan Blawong Set

Rp7.000.000

Blawong is derived from the words “blabak,” meaning wooden board or place, and “dhuwung,” meaning keris. Therefore, blawong refers to a place where a keris is displayed on the wall. This particular blawong is carved with figures from the Jathilan dance, depicting both male and female dancers. The dance tells the story of the Javanese people’s struggle against colonial invaders. Dancers use horse props and portray warriors in battle. The horse totem, known as Sang Hyang Jaran, is considered a powerful entity that can ward off evil spirits and protect the village from various disasters.
