This family set Flores figures was inspired by the local folklore. The human statue with a lizard-like head is based on the myth of the Komodo dragon origin which is said to have originated from a human who gave birth to twins, one of which took the form of a Komodo dragon. The father is the tallest statue in the centre, while the mother is the shorter statue on the right. The two panels on the furthest left and right represent ikat or traditional textiles.
