Buddha Dharmachakra Mudra sculpture depicts the Buddha seated in the lotus position (padmāsana), with both hands forming the Dharmachakra gesture, symbolizing the “turning of the wheel of dharma.” The right hand is held at chest level, palm outward, with the index finger touching the thumb to represent teaching from the heart. The left hand mirrors this gesture inward, together forming a symbol of infinite prayer and the eternal cycle of wisdom. This mudra reflects the Buddha’s first sermon, the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, delivered after his enlightenment.
