Lotus Pose Buddha Stone

This Buddha statue depicts the enlightened figure seated in padmasana or the lotus position, a pose commonly associated with deep meditation and spiritual focus. The left hand rests gently on the lap in dhyana mudra, symbolizing serenity, inner balance, and concentrated meditation. The right hand extends over the knee with four fingers pointing downward in bhumisparsha mudra, or “earth-touching gesture,” representing the moment Prince Siddhartha called upon the Earth as witness to his triumph over worldly temptations. Together, these hand positions narrate the powerful story of the Buddha’s final meditation and attainment of enlightenment, embodying both stillness and spiritual awakening.
