Madura Wooden Bed

The significant influence of China since the Zheng He era on Madura culture, especially in the design of wooden beds, is a representation of homes adorned with geometric ornaments on the roof, small cabinets for medicines, as well as symbolic hopes in the carvings on the front or inner sides. Plants, fish, dragons, and bats dominate the carvings as symbols of prosperity and the aspiration for continuous growth.
