In Sumbanese, a Rooster is called Manu. Its crowing before morning symbolizes awareness, acting as a wake-up call. The rooster is seen as a protective leader, a symbol of manliness, and a representation of life. In the second row, coastal birds or Kahuhu signify agility and skill in behavior. Their presence also signals the onset of the rainy season, prompting preparations for farming. The third picture features a crocodile or Wura, representing noble men. Lastly, horses, known as Njara, symbolize adaptability, serving in transportation and warfare, indicating social status, and holding high economic value. They embody qualities of masculinity, bravery, agility, and heroism.
