Batik Parang, often known as “pereng,” is a Javanese word for a rock cliff or slope. This design is shaped diagonally from high to low. The pattern symbolizes agility and vigilance, while the diagonal line symbolizes ideals, respect and loyalty to the right values. This discontinuous arrangement of patterns represents the idea that life must be continuous or dynamic in order to be lived. Where Garuda is the mount of Batara Wisnu who is known as the God of the Sun. Garuda was employed as a representation of the sun and was made into Batara Wisnu’s mount. Garuda is not only viewed by the Javanese as a sign of life but also of vigor and bravery.
