Sarong Batik Tiga Negeri

The characteristics of Batik Tiga Negeri were the three colors which are red, blue and brown. Originally, the dyeing process of batik took place in three different cities; the red color was made in Lasem, the north coast of Java by the Chinese ancestry; blue came from Pekalongan which was influenced by European style with floral motifs. Finally, the color brown or so-called soga brown came from Solo. The color combination symbolizes the unity of the three country, Indonesia, China, and Netherlands.
