Sitting on the Throne Sculpture

Rp14.000.000

Temple reliefs often depict scenes of everyday life from the era in which they were created. These are reflected through the clothing worn, the activities or occupations shown, and the presence of surrounding plants and animals. Such details allow us to trace the social status of the figures and understand the intended narrative. In this particular figure, three women are shown, with the central figure likely representing someone of higher status.
She is accompanied by two attendants on either side and adorned with complete accessories such as a necklace, bracelets, and a crown. Sitting cross-legged on her throne, the posture and ornaments emphasize her authority and noble position.
