Tan Blue Tau Weaving

Tau, which in Sumbanese means “human,” is frequently portrayed from the front or side, either as a whole or in parts such as the face or head. This motif functions as a repellant to evil, represents the ancestors, and denotes the presence of supernatural abilities.
