Ulos Sadum Decor

Rp3.000.000

Ulos is a traditional hand-woven textile from the Batak region in North Sumatra. Used since the 14th century, when handlooms were introduced from India, it was originally worn to keep warm by the Batak ancestors living in mountainous areas. Deeply spiritual, the Batak people often inscribe “Tuhan Beserta Kita” on the textile as a symbol of divine protection. The colorful Ulos Sadum is worn during joyful occasions and is also used as a keepsake or as wall decorations in other regions.
