Wayang Bimo, also known as Bhima in the Mahabharata, is a central figure in Javanese wayang performances, renowned for his immense strength, loyalty, and unshakeable sense of justice. As the second of the five Pandava brothers, Bimo is often depicted with a muscular build and fierce expression, symbolizing his role as the group’s protector and warrior. Despite his fearsome appearance, he is deeply compassionate and dedicated to his family, especially his mother, Kunti, and his brothers. Bimo’s character is defined by his straightforwardness and his inability to tolerate injustice, often taking direct action against wrongdoing. His blend of brute force and righteous heart makes him a favorite in wayang stories, embodying the Javanese ideals of courage, loyalty, and moral clarity.
