Endek is a traditional woven textile from Bali that flourished during the reign of King Dalem Waturenggong in the Gelgel Klungkung Kingdom in the 16th century. It comes in the form of sarongs, long cloths, shawls, or anteng, and is traditionally worn in temple ceremonies and religious rituals. Over time, Endek has also been used in daily life and to decorate temples, homes, and village centers. One of its oldest designs is the geometric motif with straight lines, broken lines, curves, and other shapes. These motifs are believed to embody cosmic principles, connecting human life with the divine order of the universe.
