Blue Banji Pekalongan

Batik Banji is inspired by the ancient Swastika motif from India, which reached Indonesia through cultural exchanges with China along early trade routes. Far older than its modern misinterpretations, the Swastika is a sacred symbol representing abundance, balance, and the interconnectedness of all life in the universe. In batik, the Banji motif reflects this spiritual philosophy through its repeating geometric form, suggesting continuity and cosmic order. Traditionally, the motif serves as a reminder to maintain inner purity and harmony between the physical and spiritual worlds. It is also believed to offer protection, guiding the wearer toward safety, well-being, and spiritual alignment.
