Blue Dragon Lasem

Batik Naga Lasem developed in the northern coastal areas of Java. Naga or Dragon is the most popular mystical creature in China. It’s believed to bring luck and prosperity. In contrast to batik Encim in Pekalongan which was influenced by the Dutch, batik Lasem refers to the coloring of porcelain objects from the Ming Dynasty such as red, blue, red blue, red-blue and green.
